supplies.
A computer PSU converts mains AC into regulated DC outputs. Ratings, protections, connectors, and cables must match the system and the unit's exact revision.
CLASS RECORD: PC/XT, AT, ATX/ATX12V, SFX, TFX and Flex ATX supplies. Modular cables are not universally interchangeable, even when plugs physically fit. Never open a PSU; internal capacitors can retain hazardous charge.
Reference specifications
| Input | Use the exact AC voltage/frequency/current nameplate and regional manual. |
|---|---|
| Outputs | DC rails and combined output limits are model-specific; see each individual record and nameplate. |
| Form factors | Legacy PC/XT/AT, ATX/ATX12V, SFX/SFX-L, TFX and Flex ATX are electrically and mechanically distinct. |
| Compatibility | Connector shell, total wattage, and chassis fit alone do not establish electrical compatibility. |
Selection & safe service
- Verify exact model/revision, line input, DC-rail limits, connectors, pinout and dimensions using manufacturer documentation.
- Use only modular cables listed for the exact PSU model/revision.
- Never open or probe the PSU internally; hazardous voltages can persist after disconnection. Use qualified service or replace it.
