Supermicro X10DRi (PCB Rev. 1.02)
A sourced record of one model and its documented revision-specific behavior. Similar model numbers and later board spins are distinct products.
IDENTIFY THE PCB FIRST: Record silkscreen, assembly revision, product suffix and firmware string. Use revision-matched manuals and support lists; verify against the physical board.
Documented specifications
| Exact model / revision | Supermicro X10DRi (PCB Rev. 1.02) |
|---|---|
| Socket / processor | Dual LGA2011-3 Xeon E5-2600 v3/v4 as qualified by CPU list and BIOS. |
| Chipset / architecture | Intel C612. |
| Memory | Sixteen DDR4 DIMMs, eight per CPU; ECC RDIMM/LRDIMM and channels per manual. |
| Form factor | E-ATX server; confirm chassis/airflow. |
| I/O / expansion | PCIe, variant-specific SATA/SAS, Ethernet, VGA and BMC/IPMI. |
| Firmware / boot compatibility | AMI BIOS plus separate BMC; CPU v4 may need updated BIOS. |
Compatibility and revision pitfalls
X10DRi differs from -T/-LN4 variants. Populate CPU1 first and follow CPU-local DIMM map; do not mix RDIMM/LRDIMM.
Before substitution, check exact CPU/SoC support, minimum BIOS/bootloader, memory population, power connectors and chassis requirements. Matching socket or connector alone does not prove compatibility.
Repair and preservation notes
Record BMC/MAC and DIMM map; inspect both sockets, VRM and airflow. Preserve logs and do not run without cooling.
Record provenance, labels, firmware and test conditions. Photograph traces, jumpers and cable routing before repair or cleaning.
